I love seeing the guys who treat charity rides like the TdF, showing up and bragging about how they've got their bike down to some ridiculously low weight, including "everything for a century". Then I see them stuffing tubes, CO2, gel flasks, extra water bottle, Clif Bars, tire levers, rain jacket, etc. in their jersey pockets until they're ready to burst.
What good is it to carry that much stuff in your pockets?
I keep a couple of bars/gels in mine. Everything else goes in my seat wedge.
