I just washed mine using an Oxy-clean type detergent. The thing stunk of BO from 4 feet away. Shake out all the dirt from the pockets, liner, and in between section. I filled the sink with water and some detergent and scrubbed the bag, I refilled the sink 'till the water stopped turning brown/gray, which was about four times. I squeezed the shoulder pad under water to really get the soap inside that pad, it was the nastiest. Throw the bag out in the sun it shold dry in a few hours. Oxy clean works awesome on sweat wicking stuff like bike shorts and jerseys too. They don't get stinky immediately after putting them on. Then I put some 3 in 1 lube in the buckle. The bag looks great. I also wouldn't put the bag in a drier or washer I owned.
