I used to have a B-17 and it was a great saddle, but it didn't look right on the more-modern frame I bought so I sold it. The plus side of buying a Brooks is that they are easy to resell if you don't like it. I see it as a good chance to own a pretty nice saddle and a minimal risk as you could easily sell it and recoup your money if it doesn't work for you.
