I have always wondered that too. Mine are currently covered under my homeowners policy...however most of my bikes won't meet the deductible
To the OP...go get a Ulock, or a
New York Fahgettaboudit® then go shopping for a replacement bike. Get what you want, my preference for something that I have to park outside is most likely going to be an older beat up looking bike. Huffy's come to mind. FWIW I had a step through Huffy Baypoint 3 speed that I paid $15 for, then locked up with a $100 lock
But at least I had a bike to ride home at the end of the day
