for what it's worth, mavic's listed weights for the rims under discussion are— OP, 435g; CXP33, 470g; CXP22, 510g. while this weight difference is at the most perceptible location on your bike, the 80g between the OP and the CXP22 is the difference between conti's GP Supersonic and the Gatorskin. Or the difference between straight-gauge DT Competition and DB Revolution spokes.
this is not to say that it's an insignificant weight difference, but to get you thinking about things other than weight, since choosing one tyre over another will have the same weight savings at the same (from an angular momentum perspective) point on the bike. Velocity Deep Vs weigh in at 580g or something, just for comparison's sake.
