The UK Dawes may not make their own frames any longer but the company still has a reputation for good bikes. No longer up the top with The other manufacturers but they still "Assemble" and sell bikes of a sensible quality. And Warranty- Earlier this year At the LBS they had a customer with a 7 year old bike and the frame had rusted through to Holes on the top tube. That bike is no longer made but Dawes replaced the bike with a Similar model bike- and upgraded the bike from 105 to Ultegra. (They made that model in 105 but still upgraded it)

Dawes is alive and well in the UK and if you go on an Audax ride over here- The most popular bike is still a Dawes- and some of them are new this year.
