if you paypal is hooked up to your credit card then you can contact the credit company and contact them for a fraud and refund. even though i hate credit cards, having one of those theif warrenties and fraud protection things is good. plus some give you bonus stuff.
but anyways, contact your credit card company and tell them what happened. they can track it down and give you a refund
