Wind-stopper...Instead of a soggy newspaper...

Cut the back off an old fleece shirt and 2 holes for a shoe string. Drape it around your neck instead of a base or mid-layer. After you warm up, just stuff it in your pocket.

If your neck gets cold draw the string up on your head. Stuff it where-ever it's cold Weighs next to nothing. Doubles as a rag
