Schwinn Collegiate Women's 5 speed
I was given one of these. It's really cool because it is still in very good condition. Original brake cables still in decent operation. I always have a hard time telling the difference, though, between 26" wheels and 27" wheels, so I put them up to a set of what I knew were 27" and the schwinn wheels were smaller. Then I tried to put 27" tires on it and it was evident that they were not 27" wheels. I read on the internet that they are in fact 26" wheels and that the tires that fit are 26x1 3/8, so I got my hands on a pair, but they don't seem to fit. They are too small. What's the deal??? Please help!!!
