I just went through this search and ended up on the 08 Madison.
Threadless 1-1/8" because I had a Wound Up 1-1/8" fork which I acquired from the Trexertown swap meet on the cheap which I wanted to use.
The Madison is stiff. It doesn't have unnecessary braze-ons and the geometry is lax enough for a longer rides. I am slowly replacing all of the stock parts. The crankset is next.
I didn't go with the Steamroller because the BB height is too low and I've had issues with pedal strike in the past.
The IRO Mark V Pro would fit the bill when it is re-released in the spring of 2009. The Mark V (non-Pro) is currently available but it has cable stop braze-ons which is unattractive when not utilized.
My Madison currently.
