1. Petaluma to Marshall 23Mi one way. Start in Petaluma, CA...head NW on Bodega Ave, slight climb thru cow country, turn left on Tomales Road past the USCG Training Center...keep going to the cute town of Tomales(the Diekmans General Store, and the bakery/cafe across the street are really nice, additionally you can head West from Tomales on Dillon Beach Rd. to the Town of Dillon, which is a dead end, but has a nice beach and "Elephant" rock formations on the way). Take a left on Hwy 1 to head South to Marshall, nice coastal windy roads...not much shoulder, but the roads are in ok condition...great scenery, and MAKE SURE to stop at the Marshall General Store for some of Cathy's BBQ Oysters and atmosphere...it's the funkiest, most wonderful place in the North Bay!
Marshall's general store is funky.
