But the anti-rust coating is just that a coating, and after a few months of use the coating on the inside of the plates hs worn of and if does rust between the plates, but as long as the chain is kept lubricated it still runs smooth and overall the chain is less rust than it would be without a coating. overall i would buy a again and would recomend. KMC does offer a relativly cheap(25$) Stainless steel chain for single speeds which is what i will be trying next.
I suspected that the coating would wear off eventually based on some comments I saw when first considering a rust resistant chain. I ended up getting 5 chains for a total of $15 off ebay so if the coating and chain lasts one winter I'll consider the experiment a success.
