"gloomy day pics for gloomy purchases"

I found these 'bout 2 weeks ago on CL, the guy really didn't/doesn't know what he had/has (he has a pair of Giants as well), he was asking $150 each 'till i had a talk with him, then he did some research and even claimed that someone else had offered him $125 for the le tour sight unseen after he agreed to sell me both for $125 (i probly shouldn't have given him that either for all the rust, etc.)

if i have the right info the conti #KK_xxxxx is chicago built from oct '74

and the le tour #SK4xxxxx is greensville, miss built oct '84...

these have been purchased for salvage to build up SS/fixie for a friend and a beater of the same nature for the wife and i...

i was hoping to keep these as original looking as possible, but they are likely to be a frame up rebuild,
maybe i can find decales, any suggestions on how to preserve the badges?

sorry, too far gone for me to invest in restoration
