Sorry. It did read a little too snarky. I know a thief might need the bike, but he doesn't deserve it, and he probably won't take good care of it either. If the bike isn't wanted, the owner should take the responsibility to find a good home for it. Goodwill or even the pawn shop would be better.
Amen. And I've seen far too many people throw their $1000+ bikes around like it's nothing, which really bugs me. People need to appreciate what they have, and take care of it.
