Just a general question, can you put the new external bearing Hollowtech II BB onto a bike that originally had the octalink BB? Are the frames machined the same way?
The reason why I ask is because I'm thinking about upgrading my wife's bike, which has a cheap bontrager crank, to a new compact double setup. I just don't know if the frame is designed for a certain BB?
