Look at a Gary Fisher Tassaharra. I just got a 2004 for $519 US. Sugested retail is about $700 or a bit less. Out of all I rode I liked their geometry and fit best. IMO.
Bike fit was an important factor. Next was service and then component groups. IMO I filled all of those requirement to my need.
