Raccoons can make an aweful mess of your food stores. So can bears, but the bruins are another concern as some can fatally injure campers. I guess I should be pleased that in the form of insects, only blackflies and mosquitos can cause much pain here in the colonies.
If animals are getting into your food, then you are doing something wrong. Properly store your food!
