I go about 210 and have been satisfied with the seat after the chop job. I left two flaps of leather on the sides that are folded under and connected via zip ties. This helps overcome the loss of structural integrity post-butchering.

I gave the tension nut a few turns (first time since new) as the butchering did decrease tension. I had slathered a bunch of cream on the seat before the project, so that may have an effect as well.

Bottom line.....I like the seat better now. I can pedal faster w/o the typical B17 skirt rub feeling.
