We have a new instructor in the spinning class and Im confused by some of the "moves" she is getting the others to do, I dont, because they seem to go against everything Ive been taught before, is she right and am I going on outdated training. (Im not an instructor, just been spinning for about 8 years now). Imagine the hover, she now asks that you lean forward ie push your legs forward, do two reps and then return to the hover position for two reps, two reps forward, two reps back etc for an entire song. Your entire body weight is still over the knees during the forward reps ie your weight travels with your knees and your knees go over your feet. Hope Ive explained the move in a way that you'd understand. Help. Am I loosing out on a valuable tool, or is this really still not on?
