No, nothing that subtle. I just like the look of it. It's minimalist, stripped down, and doesn't have any fancy gadgets. It also makes me feel sort of vindicated that I never bothered switching to clipless pedals (not that I don't recognize they may faster--just not absolutely necessary for performance).

It's the exact opposite (again, aesthetically, in my opinion) of this thing, which is ugly as sin.



I admit, I do like the really sleek, thin saddles that come on those crazy-ass things, though.
