i experience this when i'm cycling or working a lot. I'm at 130lbs, 5'8, and in the summer i eat ~4000 - 5000kcal daily.

it takes the appetite about thirty minutes or so to wear off after i eat. i try to eat when i'm not hungry to prevent myself from getting weak... like eat a bagel every 90 minutes or so.

...

and that's a lot of protein imo. 125g is what i'd recommend for a daily amount. perhaps i'm just interpreting your original post incorrectly... are you saying that's what you had just for the ride or over the day?

for your next ride, try bringing along something sugary like a banana. your body can break it down faster than a peanut butter sandwich. for my rides i go with bagels and cream cheese (cream cheese keeps the bagel moist... easier to eat with a dry mouth), and bananas. for an 120km ride, I'd bring a bagel and two bananas. maybe two bagels and the bananas.
