I started on Shimano SPD's, moved to a road pedal Shimano Ultegra's, then Look Keo's and all three were small for my foot and I eventually started using
Time ATAC Alium. They are great. I can still use touring shoes an they are really easy to clip in and out and gave me a nice wide surface to put my foot on. I have not had any foot pain since I moved to them. I use them on both my bikes.
