08's came with the freewheel and the fixed cog installed. Your dealer isn't going to take the time to pull the fixed cog and lockring off just to screw you over. They already have plenty of those things layng around.
09's do not come with a fixed cog. Your dealer will gladly set you up with one for a few bucks. Like I said before, they have plenty of those things layng around...
