When I was in your position I also was looking at the CAAD9 6. After posting here and other places the consensus was to wait until I could afford the 105 set.
While there may not be 'problems' with the sora/tiagra no one complains about the 105.
That money might sting now, but assuming you're still on the same bike in 5 years, you'll be happy you spent it.
