I think you'll be ok with shorter reach bars, certainly wouldn't want to go to a 52.
Looking at the geo, that would be a perfect size for me and I'm a couple inches shorter, though more evenly proportioned.
In the above pics try to get your on the hoods position as low as your in the drops position, then when you're in the drops try to get a 90° bend in your elbows.
