!965 looks like the right date, but the fork looks suspiciously like a replacement. Do you have a picture of the fork crown area? For an Italian bike of that era (and just about any bike from that era, I would expect a "lugged" crown. The one on your Frejus looks like an integrated crown, but I can't clearly see it from the photo.

Also, the bend of the fork doesn't look right. it's too abrupt, kind of a straight section, bend, another straight section, not a nice smooth, sexy curve to the dropout like trashion's Frejus
