I am willing to spend a little more for a good bike. However, right before deployment i spent over 1100$ on a awesome MTB. So I dont really want to break the bank for a road bike.
What branch of service? If it's Army, I might have some good shopping info for you...
I've also learned to ask every single shop/company you're buying from whether there's a military discount. Competitive Cyclist, Zipp, Rudy Project, etc etc all have some good military deals. Always worth asking.
