I'm 220lbs, not something I would risk :-D . But technically speaking, it's not garbage. Some manufacturers purposefully add a dent into the seat tube for derailleur clearance. (see: ). I've talked with the guy some more, and he's agreed to compensate $40 back. I may build a rigid with the dented frame, just as a townie, or sell it on eBay.
