Specialized seat post clamp and Selle Italia Flite saddle

Hello,

I just bought a Selle Italia Flite saddle for my Specialized Roubaix. When I'm installing it, I noticed that the rails on the saddle has flat sides. This doesn't seem to match well with the clamps on the Specialized seat post. There's some gaps that's left. Is this something to be concern with? Or will this work ok as-is long-term? I did post this up on the Mechanic section but got zero response, so trying it here.

I did take it out for a 17 mile ride today. Hands-down my favorite saddle so far. Some hot-spot issues I had w/ Specialized seat that came w/ my bike is gone. I'm very happy w/ the saddle, but not sure about this mounting.

Thanks for any input.

Here's the gap:
