Measuring for a new hub

im trying to outfit my old Schwinn Varsity with a flip flop hub and having trouble figuring out what size i need. i have measured from the inside of one drop out to the inside of the other one and got about 5 inches, equal to what i have found to be around 125 mm. did i measure right? any help would be great!

PS. the set up i am looking at getting are cr-18 rims and formula hubs, this will be my first fixed gear bike so i don't need the best but i intend to ride frequently and hard. im about 6' 2" and weigh about 165. does that set up seem reasonable?

thanks
