Trouble Deciding on Bike
I'm having a hard time deciding on what bike to get and I was wondering what people's thoughts were. Right now it is between a new 2009 Specialized TriCross Sports ($1300), a new 2009 Jamis Aurora Elite ($1300), or a used 2006 Specialized TriCross Comp ($900) in good condition. Which would you buy, in what order, and why?
I have ridden them all and they are all a great fit as far as I can tell during a test ride. I plan on doing approximately a 14 mile round trip commute on it during the summer, some occasional riding on gravel, and the Chicago Triathlon. It will be my first real bike, so I want something solid that will last me a long time. Depending on what I enjoy the most, I will probably get another nicer bike specifically for triathlons or road racing in the future.
