Conversion of a tag-a-long to a recumbent?

I have an extra tag-a-long bike, a Burley Piccolo.

Mine is exactly like the one in the picture.
What if the crank and seat were removed and the boom was detached from the rack, the
frame looks alot like a lowracer.

I'm going to ask a local frame builder to help covert this little frame to a recumbent. If nothing
else should prove an interesting project. The most difficult part will be mounting a steering tube through
the existing boom. The bottom bracket will mount somewhere near the front end of the boom. I may have it made such that the crack can slide forwards or rearwards along the boom to adjust to the rider's height.
See any reason this couldn't or wouldn't work?

Keep watch.
