I don't know if this has been talked about before and a search didn't turn anything up so I'll just ask in this thread as it seems appropriate. Instead of taking road bikes and flipping them for a profit as many do on craigslist, could one buy road bikes with decent components, sell the components and convert the bike into a fixed gear using parts bought cheaply in bulk and sell that? What do you guys think of this idea? Would it be profitable or what?
