I think that this is interesting on a couple of fronts. First, it tells me that LA feels alot better than he thought he would at this stage and feels he can top the podium, second, with LA comes the sponsors and the money so it would be wise for the rest of team Astana to back him for their spot. Yes I know that very scenario has been bantied about, but now that he has come out and said it, during the tour no less, to me sends a clear message.
