PK, hold that thought, and while you're at STR talk to Bob Thompson, (this year's organizer). I believe he'll tell you that as soon as he gets clear of the STR work load, he's going to be spearheading an effort to get a Florida tandem club going.

I know that there are three Florida clubs listed on virtually every tandem site you go to, but as I've told the site owners repeatedly, they are non-existant. I've verified the defunct status of two thru their primary, (Stratton Smith), and the third one is a dead link with no one in the area knowing of such a club, so ......

The Thompsons are interested in getting one going, and part of the point is regular, mid-state tandem rides that a bunch of us could make every month or so.

Naturally, we'll be putting up a website and notifying everyone when it's a reality.
