Hey everyone. Here's a quick question, which I haven't seen directly addressed anywhere (forgive me if it has been).
So I bought some new wheels (

I used a lockring spanner and the lockring continued to thread on without too much force but I noticed a thin thread of metal starting to come out. I immediately stopped threading and have been weary to proceed for fear of stripping/further stripping the hub.
Would it be normal for a new hub behave like that? Could the lockring just be carving deeper threads? The hubs, according to benscycles, are no name but could be formula/joytech, so I'd assume they'd at least take a formula lockring.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
