They must be official.
We have some of them in Oceanside, on Pacific Street. It's kind of nice, because it's a major thoroughfare for cyclists riding to San Clemente or the San Luis Rey River Trail, but there is also a lot of beach-parking traffic there, which is prone to door opening.
