Someone up there mentioned Mercado...man that guy is one talented spaniard...and at such a young age already has stage wins in the Dauphine, Vuelta, and Tour de France. Postal/Discovery tried to sign him just before he signed with Quick Step. He could be a threat for the Tour podium if he ever builds his stamina to withstand three weeks of racing. He always seems to have a bad day or two that just destroys his GC. That said...he's only like 26. I remember him in the Dauphine last year on the stage that was a mountain time trial....where he managed to finish ahead of Lance on that stage.
I hope to see Chris Horner get a chance to do the tour. If I remember correctly he never did the tour when he rode for La Francias des Jeux(spelling?). Anyone know if Saunier Duval-Prodir has any plans to put Horner in the Tour?
