Typical weekday rides 15-25 miles. weekends 50-75 miles. I am diabetic, so I supplement long rides with complex carbs and diabetic specific bars, which contain resistant starch. Resistant starches are lower glycemic value carbs such as uncooked corn starch.

I have never been a Gatorade fan. I use a varying combination of Ultima Relpenisher, GU2O and a high mineral count unrefined salt from my local health food store. Ultima has no sugars, so just electrolyte replacement. GU is maltodextrin and fructose for carbs. It can get pretty hot here in the summer, so the extra salt is used when the heat breaks into the 90's+.

This combination works well for me. I have not had any nausea issues. You need to experiment to find what works for you and your riding habits.
