Just because Idaho has this particular law does not mean you are entitled; it is no different in application than the 'right turn on red' law. If the lane you are in at a red is a straight-or-right-turn lane, and someone in front of you is going straight, TOUGH -- you wait.
It's the same with this law. (It would be advantageous in a lot of areas around the country....)
