Just wanted to post this, my rear tire a 700x32c Kenda Kwest failed at the bead yesterday (1/2 inch tear)
It was the tire that came with my bike and has 503 miles on it. It has worn in one spot to a green under layer. I have had zero flats until this blowout but it has been removed a few times for spoke replacement.
Note, I started riding at a weight of 526lbs so not everyone may have this issue.
