Bottom Bracket recommendation

Hello,

I've searched through the forums, but haven't been able to find exactly what I'm looking for. I'm got a 2007 Specialized Sequoia with a triple FSA Gossamer Mega Exo crankset and BB (68 mm, 1.37 X 24 TPI). I want to switch the triple crankset for a double Shimano 6500 (Octalink) crankset that I got on the cheap. I am wondering which BB folks would recommend most. I've read that the 105 5500's are the most durable, have also seen recommendations for the 7710 track BB. I'm having a hard time finding a 6500 BB as they are being discontinued. I'm not so concerned about weight as much as durability.

I'm aware of the other issues about switching a triple for a double crank, BTW.

Thanks!
