I think MagicShine has redefined the price/performance point. For anyone who's riding in complete darkness and needs the light at all to see by and has any kind of budget, there's not much reason to go for less than the MagicShine P7 at $90 and whatever lumens it puts out, probably 500-600.

At the rate GeoMan seems to be selling these, and the quality they've achieved recently, the other vendors are going to HAVE to react. Hopefully MagicShine will continue to improve. Maybe we'll see them or some other vendor come out with a shaped beam light too, though honestly I've found that with the MagicShine properly pointed, the light is very even and bright out 50+ feet.
