I have a bell on my road bike... I ride on MUPs a lot, and several of them have somewhat blind corners, so I use it when entering those corners to avoid potential head-on collisions with a-holes that like to cross over into the other lane while flying around the corner. I have the WonderBell that's specific for STI brake levers, so it's not as obvious as some other bells.
