And then we have the other side of that coin; when they think so-so stuff is really valuable. The crew at Thrift Town is up to their old tricks again this week; they got in an old, all steel, low-end Peugeot that might've been a good donor bike for $10 or $15. Apparently somebody there has heard the name 'Peugeot' before and therefore believes any example is a rare find. Any time any example turns up there it automatically gets priced at $49.95 (I guess an even $50 would be over the top), and sits and sits until it disappears to wherever what they can't sell goes. Sort of a waste; this one had Mafac centerpulls, a Nervex crank, and a leather saddle I could've used...
