Not bike related but years ago I owned a real Mini Cooper (1968) and was just cresting the big bridge south of Marathon down here in the Lower Keys. I spied something in the road ahead of me and slowed down, took a peek in rearview mirror. Nothing behind me. Got closer and could see that it was one of those vinyl, zippered, bank bags. Heart pounding, I rolled far enough to the right I could simply open the driver's door and scoop it up. And that's what I did. Hit the gas and looked all around. No witnesses. I opened it a little ways down the highway. It was stuffed with pornography, condoms, and funky lubricants. I couldn't throw the whole mess far enough into the mangroves aside the road. I'm still washing my hands with lye today.
