Hand bikes for the knee impaired
I have bad knees and just took a tour after 7 years off the bike. Now my knees are shot again, so can't ride any kind of a bike where I'm peddling with the knees. (My problem is that I have no cartelidge between my knee joints - and yes, I know I spelled that word wrong) I've wondered for a while about hand cycles. Have a few questions...
1. What's the average price of a used one?
2. Could my elbows conceivably acquire the same problem my knees did (most likely from all the cycling I did in an 8.5 year period)?
3. Is it as fun to bicycle on a hand bike?
4. Are there any technical specs one needs to know about before looking for a hand bike?
Thanks for any info.

Could you build something yourself to get the price down?
CYCLES | XYZ CARGO
What about electric assist to be able to explore (and not just go around the block)?
