Built a bike for hiking

Based off a Chinese wheelbarrow design. It’s incredibly agile, with the fat tire it makes for a smooth ride and can pop over large roots. Made foot rests for a more comfortable seating position. Installed the disk brake after the pics were taken on the lawn. |
No, but in California on Federal land I saw a USFS ranger confiscate something like that and give the owner a citation, at a lake about 9,000 ft in the eastern sierra Nevada mountains. It was a "wilderness" area that didn't allow bicycles either. Said law about hikers using anything with wheels. Canada might be different.

No laws like that where we were. You can quad and dirt bike in most of the areas here. |
just wandering through.
would it add much cost/weight/complication to add some fold down legs for stops? just came to me when i looked at the pics. maybe not nesessary. |

How does a child sit down?

I think you are asking how they get on the bike? When it’s in the down position it’s very easy to climb on and sit down, with the backrest they can lean back and wait for you to grab the handles and lift it. Not sure if that explains it. |
That's pretty neat. Maybe cut out circles in the platform behind the seat for a couple of cup holders :)
