I have a long and interesting list of things thrown at me including firecrackers - LIT! Now that takes skill lighting them in a car with the window rolled down and timing it juuuuust right to pop under me.

Frankly, if the object was "soft" and not propelled by a weapon, I generally feel grateful. Community service suits me fine, especially if the kids record is OK. As for the weed...could not care less.

Around here, it varies by jurisdiction, but it's usually a substantially similar offense within one year. Some only apply to that jurisdiction, some to surrounding area in a sort of cooperative reporting arrangement, and others to anywhere in the state. The catch is that you're pleading no contest, so if you do screw up, you're stuck with the full original penalty plus whatever gets tacked on in addition to the court costs you already had to pay to get to that point.
