I suggest you put blinky lights on your gloves - they will do more to attract driver attention than bike-mounted signals. Besides, many (most?) jurisdictions require cyclists to use hand signals, meaning signal devices aren't a legal substitute for hand indicating your turns.

unfortunately, my state, NY, doesn't even have rules of the road with regard to distance from a cyclist on passing. Hand signals, always. I'll look for some gloves blinkers. Good idea.

There are a lot of signaling lights on the market that I think would use confuse drivers. (Things like the revolights, or barren lights)
If anything I would consider the lumos helmet. But I would only use it on nighttime. I'm not sure cars would not it during the day. Many drivers tend to find cyclists invisible until they don't.

There is no proven way to attract the attention of distracted, SUV driving soccer moms... period. They are in their own little bubble.

In my experience, hand signals are not ideal for two reasons:
1. I have to take a hand off the steering/handlebars. Due to road surfaces this is often more dangerous than not signaling.
2. Most motorists don't know what a hand signal means, so you are removing a hand from the bars for nothing. (Other than complying with law).
If you are riding in a cycling peleton, hand signals to your fellow cyclists is imperative. I seldom run across a situation where I feel compelled to signal motorists from my bike. It does happen, but a hand signal is sufficient. If it is so dark that motorists can't see your hands, then they won't have a clue what that blinky light floating in the dark is signalling.
Look at any motorcycle and notice how their signal lights are set up. If you must have that I bet someone has done it and posted it on YouTube.

bad driving is not segregated to only women, in fact, in my area, the worst are men in jeeps & pickups. outdone only by men driving flatbeds carrying small postal trucks. those are the worst

Several years ago, I had a signal device attached to my seatpost. It only worked for a short time. It was a piece of junk I bought off the Internet.

I've only found $$$ Zackees and Brite Strike. The glove part doesn't look all that great.
Perhaps BSeen LED Slap Band to augment the raised hand.

I had turn indicators on my Raleigh Grifter in 1981.
I suspect there are reasons they never took off.
I don't road, but at rare times when i do need to negotiate cars/traffic i don't need them being part of the deal. Motorists simply cannot be trusted. So i just work around them.

Cars frequently rear-end stopped school buses. No device will be as effective as you might perceive it to be. No light or other device is as important as savvy riding.
Dress to be seen, act like you aren't.

The taillight fared better than the headlight, the dubber buttons sorta melted in to cold weather whereas the taillight was under the seat and the buttons are fine.

And I stay off to the side and use the corners/crosswalks for about the same reason.

OOPS... correction... that was only for some "Pro model." They ARE about $50 per wheel... and are available on Amazon. Cool... now I really can look like the alien mothership.
Go to Amazon and search for "MonkeyLectric Storefront"

Here's the link:
https://www.amazon.com/stores/Monkey...ode/2596774011
They range from $22-$59. I have the $30 ones. They don;t really make a 360-degree circle on a 700c wheel at my Avg speed ~12.5mph...but I like 'em!
